1st October is the grand day when Thesis 2.0 Launches. If you already own Thesis, you are going to get free Thesis 2.0 update. Being a freelancer, I see many of my clients don’t update to the latest version just because they are scared of loosing some data or don’t know how to upgrade so. Update from Thesis 1.8.0 to thesis 1.8.5 wasn’t a really big upgrade and nigher was necessary. But Thesis 2.0! wow!! if you are not going to update to this one, you are probably going to miss bunch of awesomeness! Thesis 2.0 is completely new revamped framework, none of old thesis version files were used in Thesis 2.0.

How to Update?
As told by Chris, there is no one click update version for Thesis 1.x to Thesis 2.0. Just by replacing some files, you need to do everything again. Thesis 2.0 will be more focus on editing through visual editor then heavy coding. Re-do your every customization again in thesis 2.0. You can use the old CSS with new id/classes Updating to Thesis 2.0 might be a difficult task for novice user but the one time manual upgrade can benefit you lifetime, as all other updates to thesis 2 can be directly done through WordPress dashboard.
